Atelier > Studio

  • to be more specific, the word ‘studio‘ remains a limiting translation for the French word ‘atelier‘ which implies the notion of workshop, a physical working space where the activity is not necessary restricted to only one individual but most likely shared by others.
  • also the display of this works is only possible by the use of electricity and of ready made modern technology applications available today to the public, the making of the work  itself  still requies the  most banal ancien concept:  scratching  into a support.
  • In its appearance  of being ‘none innovative’ this deja vu technique remains rather difficult to master. It requires care and attention ! [ same as a practicing pianist ], the gesture, the rhythm from the  carving hand has to perform in a way to allow the mind to express itself. This is what we could define as being and staying connected within oneself while opening up to the world. This could be as well refer has the flow, without the flow the ‘message’ will not be express at its fullest, a disgrace as it will render the ‘message’  unreadable.
  • also the  engraved work speaks for itself and the viewing at it should not require any word support it wishes at times to harmonize with or complements words. Historicaly it did.  In this case why not welcome as many languages as one could possibly run in this blog?
  • atelier” is open to you !
